The IH Brisbane – ALS Young Learners programme has designed to be fun and engaging, but most of all provide a great environment for young learners to learn, with caring and qualified academic and support staff. It has been structured to provide a balance of different types of activity to suit different age groups, and focus on building confidence in and enjoyment of English. The lessons will cover all the macro-skills of English, but focus on communication and the ability to express yourself, in an English-only environment. Be incorporating element of Content and Language Integrated Learning, we will focus on cross-curricula subjects such as Science and Maths, whilst using English as the medium for instruction; this means that young learners engage in both the content and the language at the same time, creating ideal conditions for learning to take place.
